Get a Library Card

Beaumont Library memberships are free and available to all residents of the City of Beaumont and Leduc County. 

Membership Types

Adult (ages 18+):  Bring one piece of official picture ID and a proof of address.

Juvenile (ages 0-17):  The parent/guardian must complete the online registration form, including the parent/guardian's name.  The parent/guardian must accompany the juvenile to pick up a new membership card.  When the parent/guardian completes the online registration form they agree to the following conditions:

Parental/Legal Guardian Consent:  "In filling out this application, I approve the issuance of a library card to my child and acknowledge my responsibility for its use in accordance with Library policies and procedures.  I understand that the Library purchases a wide variety of materials in all formats and some will contain mature themes and language or other characteristics which may not be appropriate for my child.  I acknowledge that it is my sole right and responsibility to decide what is appropriate for my child and that the Library and its staff will not act in loco parentis (i.e., in the place of the parent).  I accept full responsibility for the supervision of my child's activity in the Library's physical space as well as within the TRAC online environment,  I acknowledge that the Library provides public access to the Internet and I accept full responsibility for my child's computer usage and Internet activity within the Library."

Institutional (e.g. daycare providers):  The institution director must provide one piece of valid picture ID, proof of Beaumont company address, and the names of any employees who will be using the card. 

You must be 18 years and older, and a resident of the City of Beaumont or Leduc County to register online.  A parent/guardian must fill out the form for a juvenile membership.  See below for membership information.  

When picking up your permanent card at the library, please bring one piece of valid picture ID and proof of address.  A parent/guardian must be present to pick up a juvenile card.

Important Information

You must present the Bibliothèque de Beaumont Library Card for service at the Circulation Desk, for library account services, program registration, and public computer access.  Please have your barcode number ready when requesting services over the phone.

Due to system requirements, when picking up holds, the card presented at the desk must be for the account that placed the hold.

If you lose your card, call the library immediately at 780-929-2665 or visit during business hours.
