Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Beaumont Library are a group of volunteers who support the Bibliotheque de Beaumont Library by:

· Fundraising and volunteering to support the library’s programs and services;

· Promoting the library’s programs and services;

· Advocating for the Library

Established in 1982, the Friends of the Beaumont Library have been a proud partner since the library’s earliest days in JE Lapointe School. When the library moved to what is now the Chantal Berube Youth Centre, the Friends did more than raise funds for the move; they used their own vehicles to help move the books!

In recent years, the Friends have held annual raffles and plant sales in support of the Library. They have partnered with the Library to host fundraising events like wine nights, and they have generously sponsored a host of library events, including a petting zoo, a “kiss the pig” contest, teen movie screenings, themed teas and other community celebrations. The Friends have dedicated countless volunteer hours to supporting the Library.

The Friends of the Library are incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act. The group meets monthly. For more information or to join the Friends, please fill out the form and a member of the Friends will be in touch. New members are always welcome!
