June weather makes dropping into the library easy. Check out our fresh displays of books, our Pride Story Walk and Family Story Times.

Join us for an exciting scavenger hunt based on the thrilling book “Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians” by Brandon Sanderson. Explore Beaumont in search of hidden clues and treasures, all while uncovering the secrets of the mysterious librarians. Teens, starting to think about that summer job? Sign up for our Teen Resume Workshop for teens, Grades 9-12. No charge, but registration is required.

Alberta Health Services is discussing its free fluoride varnish treatment for toddlers on Monday, June 5 @10:30 am. Join them for an opportunity to engage in conversation with a dental professional, ask questions and book an appointment.

Summer Reading Club starts July 3 and is now open for registration. Children, finished Kindergarten to Grade 4/5, sign up for our Reading Buddies program once a week to build reading skills throughout the summer. Kids, Grade 5-12, sign up as a volunteer Big Buddy to help the kids read!

HomesCool Connections explores the art of Barbara Reid. Join us Tuesday, June 20 to find out how she creates pictures using plasticine. For children, Kindergarten to Grade 9; registration is required. Tâns’i! Celebrate National Indigenous Day together. Try some dried bison and pemmican, learn your first words in Cree and enjoy the Cree Moose Story as Indigenous Cree Educator, Pam Greene brings alive stories of a nation for the child in us all.
