As we enter the festive season, the Beaumont Public Library is thrilled to announce an array of exciting programs and activities for all ages throughout December. Whether you're looking for family-friendly fun, creative card making, or a special Christmas reading event, we have something for everyone.

Start the new year with a commitment to learning and fun! Register now for our diverse range of programs suitable for all ages. Join us every Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for our Drop-in Family Story Time. Perfect for families with children aged from birth to six years old, this literacy-filled session promises fun for the whole family. Please note that this program runs until December 16, so make sure to drop by before the year's end!

Unleash your creativity on Saturday, December 8, or Saturday, December 16, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Engage in our Discover: Creative Card Making workshop for all ages, where you can design your own greeting cards for any occasion. All materials will be supplied, but registration is required, so secure your spot and let your artistic talents shine!

Get into the holiday spirit on Tuesday, December 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with Seasons Readings at Seniors Corner! Join us for a special Christmas event with the wonderful Diane Stringham Tolley as she shares selected Christmas readings to spread holiday joy and warmth. Registration is required, so don't miss out on this heartwarming experience.

Calling all tech enthusiasts in grades 7-10! On Thursday, December 14, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., explore the magic of green screen technology. Star in your own "movie-within-a-movie" or create a puppet show using this exciting technology. Registration is required, so sign up now for a chance to unleash your creativity!

On the same day, Thursday, December 14, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the library is partnering with Family Counselling Centres Inc. to present a free therapeutic workshop: Sensory Struggles and Strategies for Adults. If you enjoy French Adult Fiction, seize your last chance to borrow books from our collection generously provided by the Grande Prairie Public Library. These books will be returned to their home library in January 2024, so don't miss out on this unique opportunity.
