Reopening with Care

On July 2, the library reopened to the public with limited services. Here’s what you can expect when you visit the Library:

Borrowing and Returns:

  • Our curbside pickup service will continue and we encourage patrons to use this service for material borrowing
  • Material can be returned to our outdoor return slot or in the book drop at the front circulation desk in the Library. Returned material is quarantined for 96 hours before being checked in. Any fines that accrue during the quarantine period will be waived
  • As of July 20, Interlibrary loans are now available


  • 9 public computer stations will be available by appointment
  • As of July 20, the collection is accessible
  • As of July 20, the children’s section is accessible
  • Public washrooms will not be available
  • 25 customers will be permitted in the space at a time
  • Tables and chairs will not be available
  • Study desks are available
  • Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the library and at each computer station
  • We ask all patrons to wear a mask while in the space. Please bring one if you have it. Masks will be provided for those who do not have one
  • We ask all patrons to limit their visit to the Library to 20 minutes

Temporary Hours:

  • Please review our new temporary hours 
  • Seniors and anyone uncomfortable coming in during high traffic time may contact the library to set up a time to come in before we open between 9am and 10am Monday-Friday. This is by appointment only

Computers and Printing:

  • 9 public computer stations will be available by appointment
  • Computers can be booked online or by calling us at (780) 929-2665
  • Printing, faxing, photocopying and scanning services are available


  • Staff will be wearing masks if they are outside the staff only areas
  • Our front desk is equipped with plexiglass barriers to safely separate staff and patrons
