The Library Board provides important oversight, particularly for setting strategic direction, overseeing financial management and reporting, establishing policies and ethical standards for management, and building community relationships. 

The Library Board of Directors meets the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.

The Library is a public space shared by our diverse community members. The Library enforces standards of acceptable behaviour that balance the rights of individuals to access resources and services with the rights of staff and patrons to a safe, welcoming environment free of harassment and hostility.

The Code of Conduct outlines acceptable standards of behaviour while on library property or accessing library services in the community.

Our program room is available to rent when it is not in use. Submit your rental request through our Room Rental Request and a staff member will get back to you within 72 hours.

Fee and Booking Procedure:

• $25/hour, due a week before the rental date. Payable by cash, debit/credit or cheque made out to the City of Beaumont Library Board.
• Set-up and take-down time must be included in the requested booking time.
• If the rental request is approved, the renter must sign a rental agreement.
• Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The maximum occupancy for the program room is 42.

General Information:

• The library reserves the right to book the program room for its own use first, followed by partner organizations.
• Renters are welcome to bring their own supplies and presentation equipment. The library cannot store items for renters.
• The library does not allow private functions (such as birthday parties) or events of a commercial nature.
